homeslice, peers

last night was the out of bounds staff appreciation party. which took the form of delicious homeslice pizza.

jason remarked that it was nice to just get together for dinner, and not have it be a meeting/rehearsal/something.
i agree.

i really would like to visit hamilton pool before it gets too cold. i wish i had more outdoor inclined friends. the organizations i belong to (TOWNaustin.org, hill country outdoors, austin paddlers club) are mostly older people. i used to find people my age boring, because all they wanted to do was hang out in bars.. but i think as we approach 30 years, a lot of them have transitioned out of the bar phase. now if i can just find the ones that are into the woods.

BTW Barton is going to be up the next few days...

not sure of my schedule as we are recording this week and I have to be on call for that...

Dan is a great organizer... there is another group out of San Antonio called Saturday paddlers... they tend to do more sedate canoe rivers...

the kayak meetup is whitewater kayaking...

and some ocean...

30 to 40 somethings...
