wii ddr

The wii ddr kicks my butt. I haven't played it much before, and the wii version requires the use of your arms as well, so I'm like totally wiped right now, after 20 mins. And my feet hurts. i did the workout program.. they used kcal rather then calories.

that was FUN!

I was under the impression that kcal and calories essentially meant the same thing, except in scientific circles where it actually matters-

A calorie is defined as the energy it takes to raise a mL of water 1 degree C; a Kcal is a thousand of those, but in the dietary universe we call Kilocalories calories because we're lazy.

Please correct me if I'm wrong!

one kcal = one Calorie (note the capitolization). All american "calories" in food are actually Calories. A calorie (lower case) is 1/1000 of a kcal.

are you sure one calorie isn't equal to 12 milocalories or something like that ;-)

Just kidding! Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure if it was metric-ish or not.

not metricish
Nah. Metricish would be KJ, energy is measure in joules, aka newton*meter

Though there's the same silliness here, people generally say joules, and mean kilo-joules. A joule is just to small a unit for these things, just like the calorie

Ooooo, wii has a ddr? One more reason to consider it. Will have to try it someday, because I'm not sure about whether I'd like it or not. Tried the wii sports stuff (bowling in particular) at a store the other week and it was stuuuuuuuupid.
