yesterday one of the brides-to-be and i went to david's bridal. she tried on a dress, and we both agreed it wasn't the right one, because i didn't gasp when she walked out. and it was only a little cheaper then another dress she loved.

then i got to try on different bridesmaid dresses.. which was fun!!

she told me about "bridesmaid's contracts" that some crazy woman got her bridesmaid to sign, including no hair color changes without first sending swathes, or gaining more then 4 lbs. krazy.

i tried on a veil, which made me feel absolutely virgin-ny.

afterwards we went to igor's birthday party, which had 4 different kinds of brownies. i could only try one (part of my bridesmaid contract. j/k)

then at andy's i watched "michael clayton".. which... uhm.. was underwhelming.

Oh, yeah, men's and women's idea of a great wedding dress can differ greatly. IMO the smartest thing M and I did was for me to come dress shopping with her. She got a dress she never would have considered, but I thought she looked totally hot.

My fiance's view of a great wedding dress is one that involves a lot of lace. So he's been disqualified from advising. But he is happy that I'm looking at big dresses now because originally, I wanted very simple (and inexpensive *grin*).
