Went to Houston this weekend, hanging out with Andy's parents. His mom and I talked wedding stuff, of course. And we had girl time watching Houston Ballet's Jubilee of dance. Saw a really good Stanton Welch choreo called "Fingerprints" but found the rest (Bayadere, Wheeldon) okay.

We also ate at Feast, a really highly rated restaurant that ex-NY times critic Frank Bruni thought great. I actually found the food to be mediocre compared to Austin's own Parkside.

A close friend of mine got engaged! So between Leslie and Cathy, I'm well surrounded by girlfriends to chatter wedding stuff with. This makes me very very happy. It's nice to be able to chatter with people in the some stage, same perspectives. I was telling Andy how much I enjoy being engaged. It's that nice transition phase. And he was like: "You just like planning a wedding." And I really do. I love the spreadsheets and todo lists and planning stuff.

Bought a book on digital wedding photography. Trying to hone my skills. I want two more lenses: an 85 mm, 1.4, and a 24 mm 2.8. The first one is over $1000 though. So that may have to wait for a bit.

So far, Andy's inviting 124 people. I'm inviting 90. I was like, Andy, you can't invite the entire improv community!! He's just super generous about stuff like that, while I'm more ruthless. He did try to trim the list some though. We do have quite a bit out-of-towners in the list, so maybe that will keep the number to a manageable amount. But then there's also people who may bring dates that we didn't anticipate.

I've been going to the gym/working out, about 6 times a week. I like challenges. I like having a goal to work towards to.

On a more relaxed note, I'm in the last available book of the Harry Dresden files, will be sad once I'm finished. Then I'll just have to wait each year for his latest books.
