I hadn't done ballet for over 2 weeks. In the middle of class, when we were doing a common warm-up sequence which led to your legs splitting apart forward and backward, I found myself plopping down on the floor.
WHOA. I can do the splits!!!!!
I was like.. What's going on? Then I looked around, looked at the floor and was quite surprised. Usually I'm holding myself up, and feel much pain in the back of my thighs. But now there's pain sure, but I'm sitting down!!
The form isn't perfect, I'm not properly turned out.. but there's always something to work on.
I think the break allowed my tight muscles to loosen up. Pretty cool.
