I like Animal Crossing, the Nintendogs game is ok (wow, I just remembered I haven't checked up on my dog in a long time, he'll be very upset), Sims 2 - which I beat a month ago or so and wouldn't mind loaning it to you. It's like an adventure game where you run a hotel and complete tasks, it was pretty addictive once I got into it but fun. We have like 7 games total, some of them puzzle, some of them racing, some are adventure games in real time.

erhem... yeas, i too have a DSlite. i got a first release way way long ago while i still lived in austin. they're awesome. i would reccomend the new mario bros game, brain age, big brain academy. for a FPS shooter: the new metroid prime: hunters. for a RPG: golden sun 1 then 2, fire emblem 1 & 2. for side scrolling adventure accept no substitutes other than Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrows. oh, and the new mario kart DS is tons of fun.

good websites with info on games: ign.com, gameFAQs.com, gamespot.com

The DS Lite is awesome! I've had mine a couple months now. It's especially good on an airplane.

I went a little nuts on the games. I've got Brain Age (which includes a bunch of Sudoku puzzles; Sudoku = my new crack) Nintendogs, Tiger Woods Golf, Metroid Prime Pinball, and Mario Kart. Mackenzie also has Animal Crossing and Sims 2 and enjoys them.

Enjoy, my friend!

I got bunches of games you can borrow if you'd like. :o)

Maybe we should play some VS mode on some of them some time.

As for games to recommend:

Age of Empires if you like strategy games.
Magnetica and Meteos if you like puzzle games.
Kirby is incredibly imaginative and makes great use of the touch screen.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is wonderfully fresh and Trauma Center: Under the Knife is great as well (although it is very hard).
Mario Kart is great.

Age of Empires is an AWESOME game and Phoenix Wright is tons and tons of fun. Trauma Center was fun but I found it to be too frustrating. Think Operation in the millionth degree, and the buzzer buzzes 95% of the time your first outing.
