I'm so excited about that! It's in Oregon, it's a fishing trip, but they're going to have an inflatble kayak for me. We're going down the same river as the rafting group goes down, the Rogue river in Oregon. It's expensive, and I was thinking: New car.. or go on awesome trips? Awesome trips win. I believe that amazing experiences are worth more then material possessions. Let me know if you are crazy enough to go with me. I'm also thinking of doing another rafting trip next year if possible.

Today my workgroup had an offsite at Lake Travis(?) and I really loved the water. I love the feel of the water spray against me, and the breeze blowing across my body as the large boat moved.

I really love lake water.

I'm going to sign up for the Rowing Dock's beginner class. And be a member.

although i agree with your choioce, i wouldn't toss a car into the "material possessions" category. a car is a bad investment because it depreciates in value immediately after you purchase it and with every mile you drive; however, you do utilize your car every day which can easily justify the purchase.

so will you blow all the cash on kayak trips? or will you experiment with different types of water? rivers, waterfalls, lakes, the ocean, the beach, etc.

I dunno, I've been feeling restless. So maybe just outdoorsy trips, like hiking, and stuff. It's weird. this antsy feeling. :-/
I guess it may be similar to the urge that Andy's current roommate, Ross feels. He seems to need to go to South America or travel or something.

I've been feeling restless too, but am kind of limited in how far I can travel. So I need to find out what's around here. Maybe a daytrip to McKinney falls - I've never been there.

One of the greatest trips I ever took was a one-week canoe trip down the Snake River in Oregon. It was very beautiful and in the whole seven days, there was only one where we saw any signs of civilation (roads, houses, power lines, etc.)
