wine, chocolate, cheese

So I've been playing Assassin's Creed II and was almost resentful that I had a wine, chocolate, cheese party to host yesterday. That game is so good! I haven't touched my xbox in months until Peter gave me that game.

Anyways, I did myself from my gaming addiction and the party was great. I was a bit worried because so many people RSVPed on facebook. Using facebook as a party invite tool is great since most people are hooked up nowadays, but it does mean greater number of people showing up I think. We had 60 yes-es and 67 maybes. It got kinda out of hand (like our wedding guest #s), but actually, the number of people who showed up was manageable because they came in waves. First was the geeks, SCA people. And then the burners showed up. We had the ballet people. The improvisors come in bits, but mostly showed up after midnight. I went to bed at 5 am after doing a bit of cleaning. It was so fun but exhausting. I have a wine chilling in my fridge now since I only had 2 or 3 glasses last night.

It was good for me to see my friends, and there were old friends that I haven't kept touched with over the years. And I barely had time to talk to people, I think that is probably how weddings are. There's too many people you like, and not enough time to re-connect and talk about the deeper stuff.
