Things you do to calm yourself

What are some of the things you do to calm yourself? I am easily anxious. I tried meditation but feel easily antsy while doing it. Dancing may be the closest thing I have to being relaxed. Generally, being with people helps, but I want to be able to be calm when I am alone too.

deep breathing. this may be too close to the meditation line, but i inhale through one nostril, hold it, exhale out the other. you have to close the alternating nostril in this scenario to acheive the full effect.

if i really focus on just the mechanics of this - inhale left, hold, exhale right - i can mentally distance myself from the source of my anxiety.

i'm not a fan of meds, so i try that first.
