Fluid time

For some reason Time has been occupying me lately.
The new season of Dr Who is giving me a new episode of time travel each week.
I'm reading Isaac Asimov's The End of Eternity, about Eternals who control realities and time shifts.
Yesterday I finished "Braid", an xbox 360 arcade game that came out last year and now is in the top 10 games of xbox of all time.

Braid is a puzzle game, but has been hailed as groundbreaking because it takes into account Time as a factor. You can reverse the time flow, and watch your character repeat your actions, in reverse. The reveral occurs to the enemies, keys, doors, scenary, and background music. The graphics is very low-tech, but is beautiful, and the game is non-linear. It took me a while to finish it, but I feel such satisfaction now. And I've never really had to exercise my mind in that way, manipulating time.

A really really good game.

Time flew while I played that, and also flew while reading Asimov.

J plays that game. It's a lot of fun just watching. It's weird the simple things that never get included. Including time in a video game just makes sense, but it took a few decades to get there. I wonder what else is so simple it's simply forgotten...
