My nintendo is defective.

I get an error code when I try to log online. Nintendo is sending me a new system, and then I've to send them back my old system.

I can still play games, but it means my saved info will have to be redone. This is rather disappointing.

If you get an SD card, you can save all of your game stuff to it before shipping off your old system.

And at least they're sending you the new one before you have to send your old one back :o)

Also, I think you can save your Miis to the SD card too, and if not, you can save them to a remote.

what's an SD card? is that a third party memory card? How do I move it to a different card? Because in the Link quest save menu they just give you 3 quest log slots...

I may get an SD card then...

On the main Wii menu down in the bottom left is "Wii options". Click on that and it will take you to a screen that has "Data management". You can use this to back up your Wii saved data onto an SD card. SD is a fairly standard memory format used mostly for digital cameras and mp3 players and the like.
