Friends and Assassins

A few months ago I raised my head up from all the small business work, and realized that i had drifted away from friends or they had moved out of town, and after consciously going to the parties and talking and listening to people, I'm happy where my friendships are. And now it's starting to tip over to too-many-commitments stage. Which is great!

I was at a slip-and-slide party and one of the hosts said: "You know, I've always wanted to be friends with you and Andy." And that gave me warm fuzzies. So I guess it was just a matter of putting in the time!

Ok the story of the Assassin's game. I got a text message from my ally at 2:30 am saying that my target was at a Coldtowne party. I dragged Andy there and we stalked the front yard and couldn't figure out a back way. So I finally peeked into the kitchen and saw golden curls and shot the dude, which turned out to be my ally who was already dead. My target, Ted, was wearing a hat and a black wig and I totally didn't recognize him. He chased me out, and then shot me. It was a fine way to die, I placed 4th. And now I can open my mail and not check corners when I leave the house.

I'm glad I did it because it reconnected me with the improv community :)
