Good news day

Some good news, had a midwife visit today. Blood pressure is holding steady. Big relief there. Baby is LOA. And my cervix is softening, and I'm 1.5 cm dilated. Not that dilation mean much in terms of when, but it's a good sign of sooner rather then later. Also I'm GBS negative, which is another sign of relief since I don't have to deal with IV and antibiotics.

Andy had an improv friend come over to give me a really good prenatal massage. So that made me feel better. I've girdled my mental loins to last till 39 weeks. It's mind games.

What does LOA mean?

She's left occiput anterior, which is optimum fetal position. Head down, facing back, on the left.

She has been LOT (transverse) which is facing to the side, and then the day before the midwife visit we started Moxabustion, because the accupuncturist wants her to turn facing back, and then the next day at the midwife visit she was charted as LOA first time. Not sure if it's that, the acupuncture or the chiro.

Baby positioning is huge if you want a natural child birth. Spinningbabies seems to be the website for that.
